About us
Seecon (Society-Economy-Ecology-Consulting) Deutschland GmbH is an internationally active consulting company. We support municipalities, firms, organisations and research institutes with the planning, implementation and evaluation of participatory processes in the areas of urban development, renewable energy resources and water management throughout Europe. Furthermore, through our consulting activities we seek to contribute to an overall understanding of participatory planing processes and their importance for the quality of any project.
A team of experts in the fields of ecology, sociology, economics and political sciences is available to assure the success of our consulting work. Seecon also operates with the well known Institute for Environmental Systems Research situated at the University of Osnabrück, in order to support the development of new participatory methods.
Seecon's competence and expertise are being applied in various European countries: For example, Seecon supports an administration to organize a urban modernization project including the citizens concerned. Moreover, Seecon's methods and training proposals concerning the sustainable use of regional water resources are used in EU-pilot projects. Regularly, representatives from the Department of the Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture, organisations concerned with water management or members of organisations concerned with nature conservation take part in workshops and participation processes under guidance from Seecon.
