Scenario-Workshop on the Lower-Rhine
Seecon conducted the first scenario workshop in April 2007. Representatives of the water management sector, spatial planning and non-governmental organisations participated in this workshop. The main focus was on possibilities for developing the Lower Rhine area, and its consequences for flood protection. A workshop focussing on the development of visions in water management in 2050 (Visioning workshop), preceded the workshop in September 2006. An additional workshop dealing with the concrete evaluation of measures within various scenarios, and under the application of hydrological models, followed in April 2008. In spring 2009 the results will be presented during a final conference.
