Workshop "Lower-Dhünn" in cooperation with the Wupperverband
Within the same project and in cooperation with the NeWater project, Seecon, together with the Wupperverband, carried out a workshop with approximately 50 representatives of stakeholders of the Dhünn river basin on the 16th October 2007. The participants were informed about the water development objectives and the new terms required by the EU Water Framework Directive. Moreover, they had the opportunity to put forward their interests and proposals concerning new measures to improve the ecological condition of the Dhünn and its feeders, as well as to discuss them within an informed plenum. Further workshops were conducted in December 2007 and spring 2008. The result of the process was the adoption of a "Document on the Planning of Measures for Water Basin Development" by all participants. Those recommendations were integrated into the planning of future measures of the round table concerned with the Dhünn situated at the regional government in Düsseldorf.
